It's fairly straightforward to copy sets of quiz questions between courses.<\/p>\n

Exporting questions<\/span>

  1. Open the Moodle course you want to copy questions from.<\/li>\n
  2. Click Export<\/strong> from the \"Question bank\" drop-down in the \u201cCourse administration\u201d menu.<\/li>\n
  3. In the \"File format\" area, select Moodle XML format<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. In the \"Export category\" drop-down, choose the category you want to copy from.<\/li>\n
  5. Click Export questions to file<\/strong> and save the file to your local machine.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n

    Importing questions<\/span>

    1. Open the Moodle course you want to copy questions to.<\/li>\n
    2. Click Import<\/strong> from the \"Question bank\" drop-down in the \u201cCourse administration\u201d menu.<\/li>\n
    3. In the \"File format\" area, select Moodle XML format<\/strong><\/li>\n
    4. Make sure the Default<\/strong> course level category is chosen from the \"Import categroy\" drop-down menu.<\/li>\n
    5. In the \u201cExport category\u201d drop-down, choose the category you want to copy from.<\/li>\n
    6. Click Choose file...<\/strong> to open the \u201cFile picker\u201d window.<\/li>\n
    7. In the \"File picker\" window, click Choose file<\/strong> to browse and select your exported Moodle questions file.<\/li>\n
    8. Click Upload this file<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    9. Click Import<\/strong> and you will see a preview of the imported questions.<\/li>\n
    10. Click Continue<\/strong> to proceed to the category containing the imported questions.<\/li>\n
    11. At this point, you have copied the quiz questions. You still need to create a new quiz and load the copied questions. See Create a Quiz<\/a> for instructions on creating a new quiz.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
